Since the earliest part of this millennium cards have been an important part
of civilization. Naming conventions have changed, uses have changed, but the fact
remains that cards have long been a diversion of mankind. Some theories hold that
the Gypsies invented cards, others hold the Moors or the Asian tribes as the
creators of this construct. Still, it is agreed by all that long before cards were
used in games they were believed to be important tools of divination. Though they
have undergone vast changes, playing cards as we know them today are still used
as tools by which to foretell the future. As time allows, I will share here the
meanings of the cards and eventually how to read them.
